Wittedrift Butchery

Quality Meat - Naturally!

The Wittedrift Butchery attracts customers from all over the area with its quality meat from free-range, organically fed cattle, sheep, pigs and chickens raised on Johan and Sara van Coller’s own farm just a kilometre up the road..

Among the most popular meats are the Butchery’s own boerewors, judged by many to be the best there is, and traditional skilpadjies, which is liver wrapped in kidney fat. Bacon, cabanossi and cheese grillers are also firm favourites.

The Wittedrift Butchery lies at the heart of Wittedrift in every sense of the word. Located just off the village green, it attracts customers from all over Plettenberg Bay and the surrounding area who want the best quality meat.

In addition to supplying many of the area’s top restaurants and delicatessens, the Butchery has a stall at the popular morning markets at Old Nick’s every Wednesday and Harkerville on Saturdays. Founded in 2010, it also offers a wide range of household essentials and fresh produce and serves as the village Post Office.

Whether you are a resident or just in the area for a short break, a visit to the Butchery is a must.
